Lullabies for Josephine is now Tamara Váz Photography!
When I think back to the tiny 160 square foot studio that I set up in my basement over five years ago, I’m filled with awe and wonder that my business has grown as much as it has. It’s with a thankful heart that I introduce a rebrand of my business from Lullabies for Josephine to Tamara Váz Photography.
The name Lullabies for Josephine was chosen in honor of my grandmother when I was focused on newborn photography. I know she’d be so proud to see that my business has expanded, and I often feel her presence as I grow and evolve, adding in luxury services and products.
My grandmother loved to spoil me, and I love to spoil my clients, so I feel like the legacy is being carried forward! I chose to use Váz in my rebranding as a homage to my maiden name Vázquez (though I love my husband to pieces!), so I really feel like it’s all come full circle, and I’m so excited to share all the new things in the studio with you!
My studio in New Jersey will continue to photograph newborns (how could I not?!), but I have also expanded into maternity and family photos. It’s such a joy to me to be able to capture new mamas and their babies, and it’s been a beautiful but natural progression to photograph their families over the years.
I’m passionate about making the experience of working with me fun and stress-free and that every time you look at your artwork on your walls, you’ll love it more and more over the years.

I’m so excited about this change (and also that people will stop thinking my name is Josephine..lol) and about the new products we are offering! I truly believe that photographs capture precious memories and preserve them in time.
